SAINT PAUL, Minn. (August 19, 2019) —Building relationships and advocating for a thriving cannabis industry will be the focus of Sensible Minnesota’s 3rd Annual Minnesota Cannabis Summit on October 24th, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Anderson Center of Hamline University, 774 Snelling Avenue, in St. Paul, Minnesota.

The all-day summit is open to the public including patients, advocates and professionals who want to learn more about the cannabis industry. Tickets are $60 for students and $100 for Early Birds who purchase tickets before Sept. 1. General admission tickets are $120. A limited number of partial scholarships are available for low-income medical cannabis patients. For information visit www.sensible.mn.

Keynote speakers include:

Dr. Stephen Dahmer, Vireo Health, Chief Medical Officer, “Cannabis: Where’s the Evidence?”

Betty Aldworth, Students for Sensible Drug Policy, Executive Director, “Lessons from Ten Years of Cannabis Advocacy.”

Ophelia Chong, Stock Pot Images founder and Asian Americans for Cannabis Education member, “Diversity: The Full Spectrum.”

Additional breakout sessions include a bipartisan, bicameral lawmakers panel and a presentation about breaking industry stigmas and influencing positive communication with public relations specialists Neko Catanzaro and Kim Prince, of Proven Media.

“We are excited to welcome those who want to learn more about medical cannabis, effective advocacy and building a thriving industry,” stated Sensible Minnesota president Maren Schroeder. “We hope to send every attendee into the world with the knowledge they need to advocate for themselves and others.”
