Sensible Minnesota’s Patient Advocate Program provides one-on-one assistance to patients. Patient Advocates are trained to help patients navigate the Minnesota Medical Cannabis Program (“MMCP”) and to provide support to patients both inside and outside of the MMCP. Advocates are available to help patients determine if they qualify for the MMCP, educate patients on the intricacies of the MMCP, attend appointments with health care providers, assist in patient registration with MMCP, and most importantly, seek out resources for patients, listen to concerns, and answer questions. Sensible Minnesota has established relationships with various organizations throughout the state, and we share feedback from patients and follow-up on any questions or concerns brought to our attention.
The Patient Program coordinates with the Government Affairs Program to expand access for under or un-served patients, including public awareness campaigns. For un-served patients, we provide information on potential penalties and legal issues as non-program cannabis patients.
